EAC is incredibly excited to share with you our current exhibit on display, “Extreme Graphite” by Kim Taggart, in the Trusler Gallery. This show will be on display through Friday, July 31, 2020.
There will be a small, socially-distance,d meet-the artist event on Friday, July 24, from 4pm-6pm.
Kim defines her graphite technique as an emotional saturation of tones. With her Kansas heritage and the fact her last name ends with “art” – it seems only natural that she has come to celebrate the Midwest’s beauty through her work.
Many of the works in this show are available for purchase. If you would like to purchase any of Kim’s pieces please contact Gallery Coordinator, Shayli Gentry, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (620) 343-6473. Prices are listed below each piece.
If you are able, we encourage viewing the full exhibition in person, at the Emporia Arts Center, 815 Commercial St. EAC’s current hours are Tuesday-Friday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Please enjoy!
Art Education with EAC may be looking a little different this Summer, but it’s still as fun as ever! In an effort to keep art accessible during these uncertain times and keep our students and teachers comfortable and safe, we’re bringing art class to you!
We are more than excited to announce we have 3 unique subscription art kits available for purchase! Subscribe for all 7 weeks of creative challenges or pick and choose the kits you’re most interested in! Two of our kits (Passport and Masters) come with incredible interactive digital content along with physical art projects!
The supplemental digital content includes video tutorials from EAC Staff, educational games, music, recipes, and much more! EAC’s professional staff has done the work to source and compile entertaining and educational digital content to pair with these kits, making sure all supplemental materials are high quality and appropriate for elementary aged kiddos!
Though these kits are recommended for elementary age kiddos, they can be completed by younger kiddos with the help of an adult. Older kids will have a blast experiencing the digital lessons and having the option to dive deeper into each project.
